Product Overview

Of all the five-cent nickel dates ever issued in Canada, 1925 is the lowest-mintage date ever issued, and this is the key date missing in most Canadian nickel collections. While mintages for Canadian five-cent coins today are typically above 100 million, the original mintage in 1925 was just 200,050. Of the original mintage, only a small percentage has survived to this day, and of these, most are in well-worn condition.

This is a superb high-quality example of this key date nickel in "Choice About Uncirculated" condition. The coin has been independently graded and certified as "AU-55" by the PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), the world's largest and most respected independent coin-certification company.
