Product Overview

This custom coin and stamp set features an image of a moose, a majestic creature which rules Canada's forests from Newfoundland to the Pacific Coast. This moose coin is in near-perfect numismatic uncirculated condition, contains one ounce of pure .9999 silver and carries a nominal face value of $5. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.  A block of six mint-condition Canadian postage stamps are also included, also featuring the moose. The coin and stamps are set into a high-quality wooden case, embossed with "Canada."

About the Moose
Moose are the largest of all deer species, and are immediately recognizable by their huge antlers, which can span six feet from end to end. Moose are very tall, so they tend to prefer to browse higher grasses and shrubs, as lowering their heads to ground level can prove difficult. In winter, their hooves act as snowshoes to support their immense weight in soft snow and muddy ground, and when the ice melts in the summer, moose can often be seen in lakes and rivers, eating aquatic plants both at and below the surface. Despite their staggering weight and size, moose are strong swimmers. Bulls are usually solitary, but come together during rutting seasons to battle with their antlers for mating dominance. Females give birth to one or two calves in the spring; these calves grow quickly, and can outrun a human by the time they are just five days old.
