This collection includes five Royal Canadian Mint special collector-issue coins in brilliant uncirculated condition. The coins feature a beautiful image of two turtle doves facing each other, beaks touching as they perch on a beaded band. An intertwined rope-style sphere surrounds the entire image. Roses are featured along the lower outer rim of the coin. These coins were not released as a business strike, and could only be obtained by collectors as part of a special-issue 2014 collector set. The concept of two turtle doves has also been popularized through the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas," where "On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree."
