What is the density of the memory foam mattress?
Foam density is the mass of one cubic foot of a memory foam layer. Why does density make a difference? It determines the level of support and durability of a mattress, but it also affects its price and breathability. The higher the density, the higher the weight, lifespan, and support. However this comes at a cost. Memory foam mattresses with a density above 5 lb can be quite expensive. Comparatively, low density memory foam, often under 3 lb, is less expensive. However, the lower cost means lower quality in terms of support and durability. For a supportive and durable, yet affordable mattress, look for something between 3-5 lb. The Silk & Snow S&S Mattress is made with 4 lb memory foam, making it the perfect density balance for a great sleep.

Is a memory foam mattress breathable?
Traditional, or closed cell, memory foam has cells that are tightly sealed off, preventing air from entering the mattress, and making it denser and less breathable. Alternatively, a newer innovation called open cell foam (which Silk & Snow uses) has completely changed the feel of memory foam. This new technology is  more porous, giving it a better air flow. The foam used in the S&S Mattress is also gel-infused memory foam, which is a special innovation specifically created for a better cooling effect during sleep. This memory foam is often used in conjunction with other fabrics to create a cooler feel.  The Silk & Snow S&S mattress is engineered with open cell and gel memory foam for a cooler sleep. This combination foam is more breathable while still maintaining memory foams' great features.

Do memory foam mattresses have motion transfer isolation?
The Silk & Snow S&S mattress is fully engineered with memory foam, greatly reducing motion transfer. An added 1.8 lb transition foam specifically targets motion isolation and support.
