This 11" x 14" high-quality full-colour lithograph of Tim Horton is part of a series featuring the greatest Canadian NHL players ever. The lithograph was issued by Canada Post together with a series of official Canadian postage stamps featuring the same image. An information card and a matching postage stamp featuring Tim Horton is also included.

Tim Horton was scouted by the Toronto Maple Leafs as a teen and took to the ice with them in 1948. A leader both on and off the ice, Tim Horton was one of the best defencemen in the NHL. Paired on defence with Allan Stanley, Horton built a a strong, offense-minded blue line that carried the Leafs to four Stanley Cup championships in the 1960s. Horton started his namesake donut chain in 1964, but continued to play in the NHL until his tragic death in a car accident in 1974.
