Sterling Silver Five-Cent, 1945–2005
This sterling silver five-cent coin is in near-flawless double-struck frosted cameo proof condition. Originally struck from 1943 to 1945, the Victory nickel was designed to promote the Canadian war effort during the Second World War.

Bronze Medallion 
The medallion depicts land, air and sea imagery on the reverse and King George VI on the obverse.

Original War-Issue Five-Cent Coin, 1943
The 1943 five-cent coins are made of a brass alloy called "tombac" since nickel was needed for war materials.

The 1944 five-cent coins are made of chrome-plated steel. The design on the coin incorporates Winston Churchill's V for Victory, and an international code message circling the rim: "We Win When We Work Willingly."

This coin celebrates the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the Canadians who fought for our freedom on the battlefield and on the home front. Symbolic of that heroic accomplishment, a V for Victory is prominently displayed on the coin.
