$20 Woodland Caribou Fine Silver Coin, 2017
The reverse design is a profile view of a woodland caribou in Canada's northern boreal forest. In the background, the tall coniferous trees line the edges of a still lake; the only sense of movement comes from the stocky and long-legged caribou, whose large rack of antlers naturally draws the viewer's eye. As the caribou moves along the sandy lakeshore, its hooves leave a trail of prints. The entire design gains an added sense of movement through the caribou's distinctive hoof prints, which are engraved on the coin's edge in a continuous pattern.

$20 Bison Fine Silver Coin, 2014

$20 Fox Fine Silver Coin, 2013
The coin features a stylized image of an Arctic fox sitting serenely in the foreground of the image, looking toward the left side of the field. Its thick fur, fluffy tail, small ears and dog-like facial features are beautifully rendered in stylized detail. In the background are motifs of circles, droplets and wavy rays rise from the image of a circular sunburst. The circles and droplets symbolize the snow and light that are fundamental elements in the world of the Arctic fox. The wavy rays allude to the warmth and brilliance of the sun, even in the Arctic landscape. The circularity of these elements echoes the circular field of the coin and hints at the cyclical nature of the Arctic fox's lifecycle. One of the most interesting elements of this impressive large-profile coin is that the Royal Canadian Mint has used a combination of five different finishes to create a play of design, reflection and light that has a fascinating near-holographic effect.

$10 Wolf Fine Silver Coin, 2013
This coin features a full-body portrait of a lone wolf set against the backdrop of a remote Canadian Arctic landscape. The wolf stands at ease, gazing toward the viewer with just a hint of a wolfish grin. Its thick fur, sharp claws and pointed ears are rendered in dimensional detail through exquisite engraving. The wolf stands atop a rock outcropping amid small mosses and lichens, surrounded by a group of evergreens.

$20 Beaver Fine Silver Coin, 2013
The reverse of this coin features a large beaver standing amid the leaves and grasses lining the bank of a waterway, hard at work chewing the trunk of a tree with its sharp incisors. The beaver stands on its webbed back paws, counterbalanced by its large flat tail, holding the tree trunk with its sharp-clawed dexterous front paws. The beaver is presented in profile, its small left ear and eye, black nose, sharp teeth and oily waterproof fur rendered in fine detail. In the background, backed by dense forest, one of the beaver's wooden structures rises from the middle of a small lake.

$20 Grizzly Bear Fine Silver Coin, 2015
This design features a loving portrait of two grizzly bears forming a bond during the mating season. In the quiet of one of western Canada's forests, a male and a female have come together to begin their brief courtship. Seen in three-quarter profile but with its head turned to the side, the larger-sized male is on all fours in the grassy area where they have spent the day grazing. The smaller-sized female is playfully standing against the side of the male, with large forepaws resting on either side of the male's shoulder hump.
