Product Overview
In 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint was the first mint in the world to issue a coloured coin for circulation: a quarter with a red poppy for Remembrance Day. Over the next 22 years, 40 additional coloured commemorative coins would be issued featuring a wide variety of designs and themes, and two of these coins additionally featured glow-in-the-dark technology—the 2017 Aurora Borealis two-dollar coin and the 2026 CN Tower two-dollar coin. Today, all of these coloured commemorative coins are highly sought-after by collectors, and many can be very difficult to find in uncirculated condition.
This collection includes a total of 41 brilliant uncirculated coloured coins representing every one of Canada's coloured circulation coins from the first issue in 2004 to the 2026 FIFA dollar. The coins come with a colourful Historic Coins of Canada case with space to hold 48 coins, which gives you room to display all of the 41 coins issued to date plus the next seven future issues. The coins are also shipped in a velvet pouch together with the case.
