Product Overview

This $10 fine silver coin features the images of two 24-karat gold gilded monkeys together with a peach-coloured freshwater pearl set into a proof finish pure silver background. The coin is struck in one ounce of pure silver, has a legal tender value of $10 in Fiji, and a large 40 mm diameter.

Celebrating the Year of the Monkey, the coin depicts a pair of mischievous-looking monkeys facing one another. Both the monkeys and the flowers on the branch above their heads feature a gilded finish of 24-karat gold, and there is also an engraving of "Year of the Monkey" on the face of the coin.

The year 2016 was ruled by the monkey, as is 1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, and 2004. The Monkey is highly social, and is also known as the ultimate inventor, motivator and schemer.
