2017 $20 Fine Silver Coin Canada's Coast Series: Atlantic Coast

This $20 fine silver coin is part of a three-coin Canada's Coasts series and features a stunning sunset on Canada's rugged Atlantic coast together with a unique maple-leaf portrayal. The reverse image by Curtis Atwater features a humpback's tail rising from the water near a rocky island hosting one of the Atlantic's famous lighthouses. Dominating the centre of the image, the whale's tail and the graceful lighthouse point the eye upward to a warm red-and-orange maple-leaf sunset, which is reflected in the waters below. Detailed engraving and selective colouring make the sunset glow and the Atlantic waters shimmer.
