This is a set of pure silver medallions after the 12 Tribes of Israel works by Salvador Dalí. This collection includes 12 medallions composed of 99.9% silver, each featuring coloured depictions on top of paintings done by Dalí to represent the 12 tribes of Israel, descendants of the 12 sons of Jacob, including Asher, Benjamin, Dan, Gad, Issachar, Joseph, Judah, Levi, Naphtali, Reuben, Simeon and Zebulun. The reverse of each coin depicts a group of people with joined hands around a large menorah in the centre. The edges of the coins are stamped "S 999" along with a number and "State of Israel."

Salvador Dalí (1904–1989)
Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain to Salvador Dalí y Cusi, a lawyer and notary, and Felipa Domenech Ferres. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits a eccentricities. In 1922, Dalí enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. It was during this time that he went to Paris started interacting with Picasso, Magritte, and Miro leading to his first surrealist phase. Dalí is best known for his surrealist painting, drawing, photography and sculptures. His works are housed in many private collections and museums across the globe. He was mystified by the awesome saga of the Jewish people and their renewal in Israel after 2,000 years. Israel's history inspired several of his most magificent creations.
