Of all denominations ever struck from the cent to the dollar, there have only ever been 19 coins with mintages below 100,000. This set includes six of these extremely low-mintage coins (1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1947 ML and 1948). It also includes the 1956 silver dollar which has the lowest mintage of any Queen Elizabeth coin ever struck for circulation (209,092). The set includes three of the five lowest-mintage coins ever in the history of Canada (1945, 1947 ML and 1948). The 1948 silver dollar is the lowest mintage of any Canadian coin from the cent to dollar ever struck since Confederation.
