Product Overview
Tissot was originally founded by the father and son team of Charles-Félicien Tissot and Charles-Émile Tissot. Tissot began operations in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1853, and Tissot is still based out of Le Locle today. In fact, 1853 was a monumental year for Tissot. Tissot SA operates under the worlds biggest Swiss timepiece manufacturer, the Swatch Group, and have done so since 1983. The Swatch Group are also known for their extensive line of high-end jewelry and Swatch watches. Due to their precision timekeeping, Tissot watches are officially used by several sporting bodies. Tissot developed the first tactile watch 20 years ago. This high-tech feature improves watch ergonomics and makes it unique and intuitive to use. The technology offers an array of functionalities: compass, altimeter, weather, alarm, chronograph - without an abundance of buttons or complex sub-menus. Tissot is positioned as a luxury watch brand in the mid-price range.
