The collection includes pristine frosted cameo finish examples of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, and loon dollar coins, together with a special-issue proof commemorative silver dollar. All seven coins come presented in a glass-top mahogany-finish display case.
The large sterling-silver dollar commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Stanley cup, first presented during the 1892–93 season to the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association team by Lord Stanley. The foreground design features an NHL player in modern gear beside the current Stanley Cup with all the additions to the base, while the background features an 1892–93 era player with minimal protective gear beside the original Stanley Cup.
The loon dollar design features a Canadian loon on the water with an island in the background. Other denominations include the 50-cent coin which features the Canadian coat of arms, a 25-cent coin featuring the familiar caribou, a 10-cent coin featuring the Bluenose schooner, a five-cent coin featuring the iconic beaver, and a one-cent coin with the maple twig design.
