Founded in Montreal Quebec in 2016 by CEO Thierry Charlebois, the earliest concept of Le Galeriste was hatched much earlier. Growing weary of a fashion industry that seemed to take all the fun out of designing, Charlebois' passion was renewed through a somewhat unlikely source. He fell in love with a piece of art, and was taken with the idea of adding it to his clothing. His inspiration renewed, Le Galeriste was born, with a collection of artistically enhanced clothing that would make its own distinct and popular mark in the fashion landscape. Taking existing art and putting it on garments of his own design was only part of the process, though. Not wanting to outsource production overseas, Charlebois insisted on every piece being created in-house, with local employees, and on their own machinery. This way, the integrity and beauty of each and every piece is never even slightly compromised, local artists are never lost in the process, and Le Galeriste remains a completely Canadian enterprise from top to bottom. Their creations have expanded over the years to include thousands of different prints paired with their garments. Popular all over the continent, Le Galeriste have connected with a population that has the same level of appreciation for the combination of art fused with fashion.
