Product Overview

While half-dollars no longer circulate in Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint continues to produce a small number of special-wrap numismatic uncirculated rolls of these coins for collectors each year. For the past several years, all of these coins have sold out quickly, and most have appreciated in the secondary market. This collection includes the last four lifetime issues to feature Queen Elizabeth II. Each of the four rolls contains 25 half-dollar coins, for a total of 100 coins in the collection.

Rolls included:
• 2019 Queen Elizabeth: 30,000
• 2020 Queen Elizabeth: 30,000
• 2021 Queen Elizabeth: 15,000
• 2022 Queen Elizabeth (last lifetime issue): 15,000

Coat of Arms of Canada
Largely unchanged since 1959, the reverse design of Canada's classic 50-cent coin features the Canadian coat of arms. The history of our nation is powerfully conveyed through each of the richly symbolic elements, particularly within the shield, where a sprig of maple leaves represents Canadians of all origins while the upper portions honour the founding nations. On one side, a lion holds a lance with the Union Jack; on the other, a unicorn holds the royal flag of France. Saint Edward's crown above the crowned lion represents the monarch as Canada's head of state, while beneath a scroll reads Canada's unifying motto, A mari usque ad mare ("From sea to sea").
