2023 First Coins of King Charles III Complete Uncirculated First Strike Roll Set (including half-dollars, plus bonus coronation medallion and 25-cent coloured coin)

For the first time in 70 years, this complete 2023 numismatic uncirculated coin roll set presents the first strikes to feature a new monarch. The new effigy of King Charles III appears on all five different denominations issued for circulation, plus on the elusive half-dollars issued only in small quantities for collectors. This collection was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint as two separate products, one with the five circulation rolls and the half-dollars separately. Both products sold out immediately from the Royal Canadian Mint and can be challenging for collectors to obtain today. Get all six different denominations in this complete 2023 King Charles III roll set. A bonus King Charles III coronation medallion is also included with the collection as well as a Barbados 25-cent King Charles coin, one of the first to be issued in early 2023. The rolls other than the half-dollars come in a black case with a green beauty box, while the half-dollars and other bonus items are separate.

While the Royal Canadian Mint continued to strike 2022-dated Queen Elizabeth coins through most of 2023, the very first King Charles coins dated 2023 were struck on November 14, 2023. With only about five weeks of production time before changing the date to 2024 at the beginning of January, this introduction of a new design so late in the year has led to speculation that the 2023 dated King Charles III coins will be a much lower than normal mintage and will be highly collectible in years to come.

Official RCM special-wrapped first-strike rolls include the two-dollar polar bear design (25 coins), the one-dollar common loon (25 coins), the 50-cent coat-of-arms (25 coins), the 25-cent caribou (40 coins), the 10-cent Bluenose (50 coins) and the five-cent beaver (40 coins), for 205 coins in total. The six rolls will come carefully wrapped in bubble wrap, without a case. Mintage is limited to just 15,000 rolls of each circulation denomination, and 25,000 rolls of half-dollars.
