Since the first commemorative coin was issued in Canada in 1935 to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George V, Canada's history and most important events and personalities have been showcased through special design coins issued for circulation. These coins collectively tell the story of Canada and are some of the most interesting, artistic and collectible of all the coins issued in this country. This massive collection includes every silver commemorative coin together with nearly every more modern issue, for a total of 174 special-issue coins.
