Since the first commemorative coin was issued in Canada in 1935 to mark the Silver Jubilee of King George V, Canada's history and most important events and personalities have been showcased through special design coins issued for circulation. These coins collectively tell the story of Canada and are some of the most interesting, artistic and collectible of all the coins issued in this country. This massive collection includes every silver commemorative coin together with nearly every more modern issue, for a total of 174 special-issue coins. Every coin in this premium-quality collection is in uncirculated condition and comes fully assembled and displayed in custom presentation display cases. Historical information about every coin is also included, providing insight and appreciation for each special design.

Highlights include Canada's first commemorative coin (silver dollar) issued in 1935 to mark the 25th anniversary of the reign of King George V, the 1939 Royal Visit Silver Dollar, the 1949 Newfoundland Silver Dollar, 1958 British Columbia Silver Dollar, all of the 1967 Centennial coins, and the 1942–1945 war-issue coins. Nine of coins are struck in silver.
